About Cigar Primer
Cigar Primer is a site of free cigar tools and plain-language guides for adults, published by After Action Cigars. Nothing is sold here, and no cigar maker pays for coverage.
Why a site of calculators
Most cigar questions are arithmetic in disguise. How many fit in this box. How many packs it needs. How long a toro takes. The answers online were PDFs, guesses or a forum thread from 2011, so we built the tools and wrote out the math under each one.
How the pages get checked
Facts come from primary sources: government agencies, university extension services, standards bodies and manufacturers' own technical pages. Each page lists its sources. Where a number is our own model, like smoke time, the page says so and gives the assumption.
Who publishes Cigar Primer
Cigar Primer is published by After Action Cigars. We sell cigars elsewhere; we don't sell anything here. The tools and guides are written to be useful whatever you smoke and wherever you buy it, and no cigar maker pays for or approves a page.
What you won't find on Cigar Primer
No store and no checkout. No affiliate links. No "top ten cigars" lists. No health claims beyond what public health agencies publish. Cigar smoking carries real health risks, and this site is for adults of legal smoking age.
