Privacy policy
Cigar Primer has no accounts and no sign-up forms. Google Analytics counts visits; everything you type into a tool, including the tasting journal, stays in your own browser.
Data the tools keep on your device
Some tools remember your last inputs, and the tasting journal saves your notes, using your browser's local storage. That data never leaves your device. Clear your browser's site data to delete it.
Server logs and hosting
Like any website, our host records standard request logs (IP address, page, time) for security and to keep the site running. We do not sell or share them.
Google Analytics on Cigar Primer
We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages and tools people use. It sets cookies and records things like the pages you view, roughly where you are (city level), your device and browser, and how you arrived. We see totals and trends, not who you are. Google processes this data under its own terms; you can read how Google uses information from sites that use its services and opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
Changes to this policy
If we add anything else that collects data, this page will say exactly what and why before it goes live. Questions: hello@cigarprimer.com.
